Travis Hamburgers an American tradition since 1943. Travis Goodin, born on a farm in Mississippi and came to Michigan as a young teen, opened his first restaurant in 1943 at 10 Mile and Harper in St. Clair Shores, MI. He opened several very successful stores on the eastside.
His daughter Janet and son in law Gary started their own store in 1969 at Common and Gratiot, and has been in the restaurant business ever since–and still to this day love it. Mr. Goodin’s grandson, Craig, has also followed the family tradition working with his mother Janet at the 15 mile and Harper location in Clinton Twp., MI.
