We not only bring entertainment to Southeast Michigan, but also education and cultural experiences to both the young and the young at heart.
We have both choir programs and summer workshops that over 700 students participate in each year. To this program, we award about 75 scholarships giving the students instruction in the flute, clarinet, show choir, drama and children's chorus. We welcome over 7,000 students of all ages to enjoy theatrical performanced of literature that is curriculum-based and brought to life. It includes interactive discussions before and after the show.
Each July, senior citizens from Metro Detroit have the chance to show off their talents in an annual Senior Show. For over 24 years, all that are over the age of 55 get to perform and dance across the Macomb Center stage.
We also are the home to over 350 volunteer ushers during shows. We are so thankful for our helpful community and provide free of subsidized tickets to at-risk families and children. We also partner with cmmunity organizations including the Macomb Ballet Company, Macomb Symphony, Arts Academy in the Woods, Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, the Warren Symphone, the Detroit Concert Choir and All the Worl'd a Stage. Each year we provide our facility to approximately 50 different organizations and rental clients.
"For over 30 years the Macomb Center has been bringing top quality entertainment to the region. If you haven't experienced it, you haven’t experienced everything that Macomb County has to offer."
